We are still thinking about the many amazing and provocative effects of the event over Labor Day. Thank you again to the presenters and many participants, and especially to those who participated in the community conversation on Monday. One of the primary concerns that was voiced on Monday was the need for the conversation to continue, and for new modes of collaboration and cooperation to be encouraged and facilitated.
In that vein, we are proposing a follow-up gathering. This will be a time and space for all of us to propose ideas, practical or conceptual, to address how we can continue lines of interrogation and maintain solidarity and activity around some of the many Ideas raised during the weekend. On Labor Day, several people suggested or mused about material forms in which this could take place, from squatting to sharing resources to reading or research groups. This meeting we envision as a space to bring some specific proposals to the group for discussion, and connect those with organizational energies and desires with those who'd like to participate in and support those proposals.
The event will be held on Sunday, November 7th, 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Small Press Distribution, 1341 Seventh Street in Berkeley. Thank you, SPD! It is of course free and open to everyone. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to write.
